Although I was born in Ontario, I've been living in New Brunswick long enough to consider myself a New Brunswicker. I see the sea every day from my day job, so it's natural for much of my art to include the sea.

This one started out as a cloud study that grew to be more. I still feel the clouds are the strong part of this one.

Watercolor, 6"x8". An abandoned boat and dory. Photo Reference Bruce Edmunds.
This watercolor is of a place in Saint John called Tin Can beach, a somewhat reclaimed industrial site in Saint John. Across the water is West Saint John and to the left is Partridge Island, which was used to quarantine refugees at the turn of the last century.

Experimenting with tile here, specifically a smooth 6"x8" wall tile with a fairly basic lighthouse scene. The teal sky is my favourite part.

My most ambitious maritime piece - a 30"x20" Acrylic painting on plywood. The Marco Polo, considered to be the fastest ship of its time. Built in Saint John New Brunswick.  I used a large replica housed in Market Square as my reference for this one.
